Amber earned her undergraduate degree with college and departmental honors at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then completed a graduate degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused on equity issues among labor, immigration, and healthcare policies in North American and Western European countries. Her dissertation focused on the impact of technology on international human trafficking.
Amber obtained her law degree at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was an Editor of the International and Comparative Law Review. At Loyola Law School, Amber participated in the Human Rights Law Clinic and the Juvenile Justice Clinic. She also clerked with two civil rights and labor and employment firms and lived in Brussels, Belgium while working for an international NGO.
Following the completion of her law degree, Amber worked for a Los Angeles law firm for three years, gaining extensive litigation experience. She relocated to San Francisco in 2018, to focus on labor and employment law.
Amber co-authored “Technology and Human Trafficking: The Rise of the Mobile,” published by USC Annenberg. She was also instrumental in the publication of “Intersections of Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault: National Organizational Advocacy Roundtable” by the Asian Pacific Islander Institute on Gender-Based Violence. She also assisted and edited numerous articles for publication on the issues of international law and civil rights.

In her free time, Amber enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Sophie and Bowie. She also loves cooking for family and friends, traveling, volunteering, and trying out new restaurants.
